Samsung Run Dublin April 29th 2012

Up to 5,000 people are expected to don their finest hi-vis gear for the Samsung Run Dublin @ Night, a 10k run coming to the capital on 29 April.
The 10k run will commence on Sunday 29 April at 8.30 and will take in some of Dublin’s most iconic and historic landmarks, including the GPO, the Custom House, the Convention Centre and the new Samuel Beckett Bridge.
Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy the aromas and tastes of Europe and beyond, while absorbing the sights and sounds of a busy night time market. On offer will be a taste of the flavours of diverse offerings ranging from Italian and German to Turkish and Mexican and of course the best of our own home grown Irish selection.
At the Irish Village Markets we offer the freshest local food. You will be able to meet the producers and chefs, who all share a passion and appreciation for quality Irish & international gourmet foods. Locally sourced produce is cooked and served on site to provide the most authentic and iconic street food available.

Representatives from Food Safety Advisory Ireland, Bank of Ireland and Irish Village Markets will be advising on the requirements needed to setup your own business within the markets.
We are also inviting representatives from catering suppliers, printers, insurance brokers, and gazebo manufactures to join us over the three days. Irish Village Markets will also be giving advice on accessing the markets and best practice to ensure a sustainable and profitable development.

FUNDRAISING EVENT FOR EAST AFRICA FOOD CRISIS

Irish Village Markets & Oxfam Ireland will raise much needed funds for the many people suffering today in East Africa. This Friday 19th August in Fitzwilliam Square our Lunchtime Food Stalls will donate €1 for every meal sold. For every Euro donated, Irish Village Markets will donate another Euro. Oxfam Ireland will also be with us on the day with donation buckets for the public. We are hoping to have 98FM on board, mentioning this worthy event with live mentions and information on their website. We would encourage everyone to pass on details of this fund raiser via Facebook, twitter, text or word of mouth etc.

Christ Church Lunchtime Market

We are delighted to announce the opening of Christ Church Lunchtime Market. This Thursday market (opening July 14th 2011) will operate weekly from 12 noon to 3pm.
Located on the lawn in front of the Cathedral, this market promises to draw a large crowd, both from nearby offices and also the large contingent of tourists who visit the Cathedral on a daily basis.
We would like to invite you to join us at this new market and would like to hear back from you as soon as possible if you are interested in attending.
Bike to Work Day

We are inviting traders to apply for this one day event. Spaces will be limited so please contact us as soon as possible.

Participants will gather in Grand Canal Square in Dublin Docklands (from 12.45) before setting off on the leisurely 6km/ 30 minute cycle through the streets of Dublin, taking in the Samuel Beckett Bridge, City Quay, Merrion Square, The Pepper Canister Church and part of the new Premium Cycle Route along the Grand Canal. The “leisurely lunchtime cycle” will conclude at Grand Canal Square, where market stalls will be situated and entertainment so that cyclists can grab a quick bite of lunch before returning to work.

LUAS (Stillorgan)

Irish Village Markets & the Rail Procurement Agency announce plans to open The Stillorgan (LUAS) Lunchtime Market. This weekly Market (opening July 2011) will be located at the Stillorgan LUAS Station and operates from 11.30am - 2pm. Twenty of our finest stalls will offer a wide selection of locally produced produce and Mediterranean lunchtime treats.

The Mespil Rd Market (Thursdays) has temporarily relocated to the junction of Percy Place & Northumberland Rd to facilitate canal dredging.
We will return to our Mespil location after Easter.
